Meet the friendly staff at Wittenberg Veterinary Clinic Companion Animal!
Hi! I am Dr. Rachael Saeger, the newest addition to the teams at Metro Animal Hospital and Wittenberg Veterinary Clinic. My husband, Tim, and I just recently moved to the Merrill, WI area and are taking over his family’s homestead. I grew up in Las Vegas, NV before moving to Spokane, WA for my undergraduate studies, where I studied Biology at Whitworth University. I then attended vet school at the University of Minnesota, graduating in 2020. I previously worked at two small animal clinics in Minnesota, focusing on preventative care, as well as exotic animal medicine. I have particularly strong interests in animal behavior, dentistry, nutritional therapy, and aquatic animal medicine. At home, Tim and I have four kitties (Atticus, Gus, Checkers, and Otis), as well as an aquarium. We are hoping to start up a bit of a homestead/hobby farm in the next couple of years where the animal menagerie will continue
Kristen is our Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT).
Kristen is a Wittenberg area native and attended Madison Area Technical College where she obtained her associate degree in Applied Sciences in Veterinary Technology in 2011. Kristen actually did her internship required for her degree here at Wittenberg Veterinary Clinic in the summer of 2010. After her graduation she didn’t go far and came back and took a full time position as the CVT here in Wittenberg. Shortly after starting she took and passed her board exam. Kristen enjoys many aspects of veterinary medicine but her favorite is preforming dental radiographs and dental cleanings. Kristen shares her home with her husband, sons, and her two fur children (cats) Booker and Drake. When she is not working Kristen enjoys spending time with family and friends, biking, cooking, hiking, and traveling.
Dr. Linda is the original owner of Wittenberg Veterinary Clinic-CA for almost 30 years. She is also the owner of Metro Animal Hospital since 2004, and she continues to enjoy working at both clinics. She feels very fortunate to be doing what she has always wanted to do-be a veterinarian. Dr. Linda attended undergraduate school and veterinary school at the Ohio State University. It was there she met her husband, John, who was a year ahead of her in veterinary school. They have four children (all grown) and two French Bulldogs, as well as a dairy farm. Over the years they have had many birds, cats, and dogs, each having a special place in their family. Dr. Linda enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine but she has a special interest in surgery and ophthalmology.
